Introduction to Scientific Facilitation for Engaged Research
In this compact workshop, we introduce participants to the central concepts, attitudes, and methods of scientific process design in participatory research. The aim is to build specific skills that enable reflective collaboration, constructive dialogue, and effective knowledge integration across disciplinary and practical boundaries.
Overview
Dauer: 6-8 hours (full-day)
Target Group: Early-career scientists, postdocs, and researchers who want to develop participatory research approaches, reflect on existing participation formats, or strategically integrate engaged research into their projects.
Language: English or German
Methodological Approach: The workshop is designed to be interactive, dialogic and practice-oriented and combines: short expert inputs, group work and methodological exercises, reflection phases, work on participants’ own project ideas or case studies. The aim is not only to convey knowledge, but to support participants in developing concrete next steps for their own research projects.

After the workshop, participants are able to:
Further training and qualification:
The compact workshop is suitable as an introduction or orientation to the process design of transdisciplinary and participatory research. For researchers and project teams who want to delve deeper into individual topics, continuously develop their own projects, or systematically build scientific process design, we also offer a modular workshop series. This series delves deeper into key aspects such as role reflection, stakeholder engagement, co-creation, scientific process design, and participation planning, and can be flexibly adapted to project phases and individual needs.
