2022 got off to a turbulent start for us – in a positive sense with two large, very exciting EU funding applications – the European Universities Initiative “COLOURS” and the European SciComm Center.

In addition, we continue to regularly facilitate inspiring training sessions with young scientists from all over Germany and have been a consortium member of a new EU project – the Erasmus+ project SciCultureD since January. In addition to the projects already running, such as the Erasmus+ project Virtual hackathons, there were also many other new contacts, inquiries and points of contact, such as a research assignment for the Paderborn application for the European Cultural Heritage Label or support for a participation process in the Lutheran Parish of Herford Herringhausen.

A major project that will accompany us throughout the year is the strategic realignment of the UniverCity network in Bochum and we are happy to support this process! This dynamic makes us happy and also leads to changes in terms of team composition: We are happy to have Basel Myhub since February 1, 2022 and Elena Tibi since March 9, 2022 in our Team! We have also been cooperating with Andrea Troncoso since March 2022 with regard to trainings in the field of science communication, especially with a focus on “Science Communication and Storytelling”.
