Bringing research results to the world: On behalf of the Ruhr-Universität Bochum, we offer a workshop in three sessions in May and June on the topics of science communication and cooperation with non-university partners. In the practical and action-oriented workshops, young researchers from all disciplines can learn how to assess the relevance of their research topics for non-scientific actors. In addition, they will be enabled to develop first strategies and skills to foster a successful partnership.
Is my research interesting for others? How may actors from civil society, politics or business profit from it? How can I communicate my research to these actors and develop new ideas together with them?
In addition to thematic inputs on the topics of knowledge transfer, science communication and public engagement, these workshops focus on practical exercises and concrete formats for cooperation with social actors. The workshops are suitable for scientists who are dealing with the transfer potential of their work for the first time, as well as for those reflecting on and trying to expand existing collaborations with external partners.
